Wilshire Credit Auto Equity Loan Program Review from Fort Worth, Texas

Do not get a loan from this company . They will tell you one thing, not put it in the notes, and then make it seem like you're the liar... if i had enough money and pull legally i would love to take them to court ans really find out what other skeletons they have in their closets. And yes i took the loan out for necessity but if i could go back i would have never done it or advise anyone else to receive a loan from this company

Lost Mortgage Note

This company transferred a mortgage not to Bank of America. They did not properly record the assignment of mortgage. Trying to sell the property and can't. The number rings for Bank of America. However, they claimed they transferred it and can't tell me to where. So I contacted the Federal Consumer Protection Agency. Now I get a call every two days from Bank of America updating me to tell me they still haven't found anything. A class action lawsuit is necessary. Wilshire proceeded with a foreclosure on the property and it was dismissed. Bank of America proceeded with a foreclosure on the property and it was vacated. Who's going to clean up this mess. Meanwhile a sale is not possible because of an open lien.

Wilshire Credit - Loan Review from Los Angeles, California

I took a loan out for $2,500 with a monthly payment of $210, not bad right. Well I experienced some money issues and couldn't pay my bills for 4 months, I got a call from wilshire consumer credit saying I owe $800 that month when I said I couldn't pay that the representative said he would "forgive" that and just let me go back to paying $210/ month so I went back to my payments and paid every month. One day I get a call from Wilshire Consumer credit telling me that my loan matured and I need to pay the balance of $800, I told them I didn't have it and AGAIN I was told to pay $200 for 4 months and my loan would be paid off (I actually paid $400 that day and only owed $400 left) I got a call about a week later saying I need to pay the other $400, I told them the representative that I talked to said my next payment was next month. She said she had no record of that! I got another call 4 days later saying I owe $532 4 DAYS LATER!!!!!!! That's BS!!! So I told them it's not my fault they don't communicate with each other and I was last told I would pay my regular $200. I told them to come get the truck and let's call it a day! She didn't want to do that so then I asked how much would it cost to pay my loan off by my payday (which was over a week later) she told me $756 so I told her to withdrawal it from my acct, she did, that was 2 weeks ago. I want my title to my truck back! These loans are scams, they don't intend for you to pay it back, they want you to slip up so they will get the money you've already paid on the loan plus they get the vehicle. It's not worth getting a title loan period!

Wilshire Credit - Loan Review from Fountain Valley, California

taking a loan out with Wilshire consumer credit was the biggest mistake of my life I took a 2500 dollar loan I've paid over 4000 and still Owe over 2000 just a few months ago I fell behind on two payments they reposed my truck it costed nearly 900 to get it out, the representative at Wilshire consumer credit said that the eight hundred and seventy seven dollars was for 2 months of back payments and the repo fees of 400 then I get a notice saying that I paid for 3 months in advance and that the repo fees of 515 would be put on the back burner until the end or I could just make payments on it, then I get a notice saying that I owe a $104 for the month of September $137 less than my normal payment by the time I realized that I owed this payment I was already two weeks into September so I thought I would just pay the 104 and the 237 for October on my next due date well they reposed my truck again for the $104 that was owed for September I tried to call them and explain to him what happened and why they would tow my truck over the hundred dollars all they said was that it's in my contract and that it was my fault, no one there botherd to profile my account and see that I've already paid over 6000 and that was only behind a hundred on my account they don't care anything about you or what you paid all they want is money money money and then in the end they want to take your vehicle please do not get along with these people they will rip you off.

Wilshire Ruined my credit

Wilshire is appearing on my credit report twice, has sold my mortgage 4 times and there is no way to contact them anymore. They told us they was going to foreclose but they did not but it is still on our credit from 2004. Now its 2014 and when I call the number it goes to Bank of America who has also sold the note. They would not allow us to do a loan modification and now the amount owed has doubled. How can I get this resolved? I would be interested in being involved in a class action suit.

You are entitled to one free credit report each year from the three agencies, Equifax, Transunion and Experian. Call or go on line.

Order your credit reports. If there is information you believe is incorrect you then file a dispute with the credit reporting agency. If the creditors cant prove the info the agencies remove it. If they say it's correct its up to you to show proof of payments on time, cancelled checks, over the phone payment conformation, bank statements etc.

Whatever method youade payments by you have to send that in to the credit bureau agency. Make sure you order your report every year.

It's your responsibility to make sure it's accurate. Good luck.

Biggest SCAMMER On The Planet!

I went on line for a Business Loan for a Commercial Vehicle. Somehow FinanceSource.com matched me with 1-800CAR-TITLE which turned out to be Wilshire Consumer Credit. Got a call from "Johnathan." I told him I thought I was applying for a bona fide commercial vehicle loan to $40,000. He told me that they do 60% LTV (Loan To Value) and that their APR ranges from 50% to 80% PER YEAR! WTF? This is the biggest SCAM on the planet! Anybody who is intelligent would NEVER accept this type of loan. On the other hand... there's plenty of folks as *** as the Walmart shoppers or those idiots up in Ferguson who would go for this deal. Even GOD won't help a fool!

Harrasment

My husband took a loan out against my vehicle with Wilshire Consumer Credit. When he signed up it was for 24.99% and have since paid back the amount barrowed plus an additional $22,000 in interest. Now they are saying that we still owe an additional $18,000 plus. According to my husband they were signing documents that were blank and was told they would receive a contract in the mail. When he did it said that he agreed to 88.55%. I refuse to pay all of that money back, when did it become legal to be a loan shark. I have since had a repossession agent come to my door who himself told me that they change the percent usually after you sign up, that does not seem legal to me. At this time I have an attorney looking into the situation and we have had to file bankruptcy because they have just made it impossible to get caught up. I am hoping that all of the individuals who have been wronged by this company will stand up with me and let it be known that this is wrong, my husband could have gotten a better rate from a real loan shark on the corner named Vinny who would have probably had more integrity than this company. The consumer agencies really need to put harsher laws on these people so that they can not continue to rip hard working people off. My name is not on that contract and I am not giving up my truck without a fight. If you are considering using Wilshire I beg of you not to they will cause you nothing but headaches and stress, they are not a stand up company and their people are rude and unaware of how to do their job.

Anyone who has used this company make sure you check your credit reports, they are not reporting accurate information, I suggest you record your conversation with Wilshire and keep a log of who calls you and how many times especially if they threaten to have you arrested. I encourage anyone who has had problems with this company to file a grievance with The Federal Trade Commission as well as the State Attorney Generals Office. My husband has filed a grievance with both, maybe if enough of us stand up and let the proper agency's know what is going on they will launch a bigger investigation into this company and pull their license.

I find it insulting that you would even consider posting your attempt at an apology. If this were and isolated case then I could see and probably accept your apology, however this is not an isolated case.

If you really took your customers concerns seriously then you would not have the horrible reputation that you have.

Stop ripping off your customers and try to be a stand up company, not the legalized loan sharks you are, and again I could have got a better deal from a mob boss in Las Vegas. Sincerely Gina Dempski
